Workaround for when you require COUNTIFS with OR?

I'm building a dashboard based off my grid and am doing a bunch of COUNTIFS to get the data I need for the dashboard, since we don't want to have to update it manually.

I'm stuck when it comes to doing COUNTIFS where there are multiple acceptable criteria.

This is the formula I'm trying to use and not getting any luck with:

=COUNTIFS(Program:Program, "Beverages", Country:Country, "Canada", Status:Status, "New SKU"; "Change Requested";"Change Approved")

Basically, we have 5 different project statuses, and I only want to count that item if it is one of the 3 listed statuses.

Any idea how I can do this?
