Do you onboard/train new Smartsheet users at your organization? If so, I’m reaching out as I could use your expertise as we enter the new year. I'd initially posed this to Mobilizers, and am expanding to this broader community to add your perspective.

I’m curious about your experience:

• How do you usually onboard new people? (e.g. 1:1 walkthroughs, setting up a getting started dashboard, or just throwing them in the deep end?)
• What is the single biggest struggle you face when trying to get someone new ramped up and confident in Smartsheet?
• If you could snap your fingers and have Smartsheet instantly do one thing to make your internal onboarding/training easier, what would it be?

Your take is invaluable and may directly influence how we improve the new user experience! 

We just released something I’m really excited about: the Essentials Glossary. It’s a simple guide that breaks down the core Smartsheet terms and capabilities new users need to know to get started. It’s meant to make those early steps a little less overwhelming.

I know most of you don’t need this for yourselves - you’re already pros. But if you ever onboard new colleagues, this is a great resource to share. Would love to hear what you think, and if there are any other resources you'd find helpful when onboarding others.

The problem I am having is I’m not sure how I can track them based on hire date and then again by different roles (that has different requirements)

I would also like to be able to create a workflow to describe the steps in this process.
