It should be known that the "Senior RVP" contact card is doing a vlookup off a seperate reference sheet, so the "Senior RVP" column is a return vlookup result.

The formula I am using in the Sheet Summary field is:

=COUNTIFS(Priority:Priority,"Up", [Senior RVP]:[Senior RVP], "NAME")

Result = #NO MATCH

All of the formulas I have tried have only gotten me so far as the "AND". Adding in the dates screws it up.

The goal is to determine if the CIF # appears more than once on the grid from a prior date.

I am looking for advice on the best way to architect a cross-team project tracking system.

My current setup:

• I have multiple teams, each maintaining their own individual project sheet.
• Each sheet contains a list of projects specific to that team.

The Goal:

1. Cross-team Dependencies: I want to add a dropdown column to each team's sheet that allows users to select a "Primary Project" from a different team's sheet if thier project is a dependency/support task for that primary project.
2. Consolidated Reporting: I want to create a single report that aggregates all these "supporting" projects into one master view to show how work is interconnected.

My Questions:

• What is the most efficient way to keep these dropdown lists updated as projects are added/removed across different sheets? (is there a way to automate this, or is manual maintenance required?)
• Are Data Shuttle or Dynamic View the right tools for this, or is there a simpler way to handle these cross-sheet dependencies?
• Are there any "gotchas" regarding report performance or lookup limitations I should be aware of when scaling this across many teams?

Any advice, templates, or architectural suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Note: I am on an enterprise plan with no additional premium features. So any solution must be manually programmed.

Those then get pulled into a sheet summary report. They are currently grouped by what channel they are in. Each column gives a total sum.

I was asked to see if we can combine the total sum into one number, so it shows how many total SKU's are being worked on. Below is a screenshot with certain things redacted.

There is a second sheet with the managers evaluation form. I don't want to send an update request or approval. I then want to copy the cells from the managers evaluation back in on the same row as the application in the master sheet. This way it can be viewed by future approvers.

However, each applicant may apply for multiple promotions over time. I want the copied cells to match the correct application in the master form. How would you add a MAX or COLLECT value to a formula like this to make it work?

I'm working on a project sheet (with dependencies enabled and the Gantt view) and I'm looking for a way to exclude canceled tasks from the automatic calculation of the % complete on parent rows.

My requirement :
When a child task changes to “Canceled” status, I want it to no longer be included in the parent’s % complete. The planned duration of this canceled task represents buffer time that I want to keep visible—so I can’t set the duration to 0.

What I’ve Tried :
A. Formula with CHILDREN() in a custom column → #UNPARSEABLE. On a project sheet, CHILDREN() only works in Gantt system columns (% Complete, Duration, Dates).

B. SUMPRODUCT / COLLECT with CHILDREN() → Not supported with filter conditions on project sheets.

C. Column formula → Does not support CHILDREN() / PARENT().

What I don’t want to do :

• Set the % Complete to 100% for canceled tasks (because this distorts actual progress tracking)
• Set the duration to 0 (because this is buffer time that I want to keep)

My question :
Have you found a solution to recalculate a parent’s % complete while excluding certain child tasks on a project sheet with dependencies? Is there a workaround using auxiliary columns or another approach?

This works fine when all due dates are unique — but when two items share the same due date, both Rank rows return the same task title because MATCH always finds the first occurrence.

 **What I've tried:**
1. Creating a helper column with `=[Due Date]@row + ([Row ID]@row / 1000000)` to make dates unique — getting `#INVALID COLUMN VALUE` regardless of whether the column type is Date or Text/Number
2. Using RAID ID (text, e.g. "RAID-002") inside SMALL — getting `#INVALID VALUE` because SMALL doesn't work on text
3. Using Row ID inside SMALL/COLLECT to bypass date ranking entirely — this seems promising but wanted to check if there's a cleaner approach

I'm trying to build a formula that automatically calculates the remaining budget for a project based on several conditions, and I'm running into issues with the logic.

Scenario:

• Each row contains:
  • Approved Budget
  • Actual Cost
  • Project Status (Not Started, In Progress, Completed)
  • Department
• I want the formula to:
  1. Return the difference between Approved Budget and Actual Cost when the Project Status is "In Progress" or "Completed".
  2. Return the full Approved Budget when the Project Status is "Not Started".
  3. Return a blank value if either Budget or Status is missing.
  4. Only perform the calculation for rows where Department = "Operations".

Example Data:

Expected Results:

• 3500
• 0
• 5000
• Blank

I've attempted using nested IF and AND statements, but I'm either getting incorrect values or formula errors.

What would be the best Smartsheet formula approach for this requirement?
