| About Me | I joined the Fire Service in Salt Lake City in 1976 as a Firefighter. I retired from the Salt Lake City Fire Department after 30 years as a Battalion Chief over Special Operations. I joined Utah Valley University / Utah Fire Rescue Academy shortly thereafter. My contributions to the Academy have been quite diverse. I have assisted with the development of several training programs, developed a quality assurance program, helped move from traditional methods of documentation to virtual / on-line and assist with management of over 300 adjunct instructors and certification testers for the state of Utah. I live in a beautiful mountain valley near some of the best ski resorts anywhere. If I get a chance to break away from the office, you can find me fly fishing or mountain biking in the Wasatch Mountains east of Salt Lake City. |
