Any workarounds to make Card View easier to scan?

Our team relies on Card View because most members are seniors, English is their second language, and they’ve been using it for years.

Each request card/row is long (by necessity), with the same people always filling in the same sections (cutters, sewers, coordinator, quality, etc.). The challenge is that without formatting, everyone must scroll through the whole card to find their part.

Possible ideas could be (but smartsheet doesn't seem to have those solutions yet)

Dividers: ───────── Cutters Section ─────────
Symbols/icons: ✂️ Cutters | 🧵 Sewers | ✅ Quality
Borders or highlights to group text
Bold/colored/larger text for section titles

Has anyone found a practical way to make Card View more efficient in similar situations?

I'm assuming each person has different requirements of what they are looking at? There is a feature that you can select what fields are shown, and which ones are hidden.

You could also create a filter for each person and that may help them so they can just see what they want

Hi Cayla, thanks for the advice. Our team are used to card view only, and in card view we can't hide or collapse any field, I believe, unless I don't know about such feature. And everyone in this team need to see the previous partner finished task so that they can continue their own part. I just like to make these steps visually user friendly so the team can work more confidently and efficiently. Specially because they are seniors and they don't practice computer as much. And good idea, I posted the notes to product enhancement :)

@Sherry Ghasemi I can appreciate that, and i would be the same way, anything to make it easier for them! I dont use Card View that much but here's what I saw, let me know if you see it.. would you be a free user? or do you have a smartsheet plan?

Once you select X Fields Shown, it should open a Show fields on the right hand side, then you can decide what you want to Show in the card vs what you want to hide
