when adding metric widgets to a dashboard it is currently very difficult to separate different pcs of information. A simple change for this would be to give the option for background colors and borders on the widgets (this can be extended to other widgets as well)
The idea is that by clicking on the contact person listed in each part of the column, the widget behaviour is that it takes you to the sheet with filter to that person and status. I imagine this is possible since the information is already extracted to build the graph, so these actions can be identified.
We have a sheet with the data for all of our parts. We then parse out the data into another sheet for whatever particular part we are going to produce. The new UI for selecting the data source for a chart widget in a dashboard has increased clicks and made it more difficult at times to select the correct source. Seeing the sheet or report data displayed in the same window as the source selector similar to creating a cross sheet reference is much more user friendly.
