How long have you been using Smartsheet?
- We've been using SmartSheet for just over 2 years now
How are you using Smartsheet today or planning to in the future?
- While SS was originally onboarding for our project management team, I have found use cases within the Operations division that have simplified and consolidated so many processes, that I'm up to over 800 assets owned by myself alone. We began using SmartApps this year as well as Data Shuttle and the solutions keep climbing.
What would you like to learn from your peers in the Financial Services industry?
- Within the dashboard and reports, I haven't found it to be easy to do forecasting or trendlines. I'd love to see more samples of that!

Hello! I have been in the banking world for almost 25 years, with the same financial institution in Massachusetts with $1.7B in assets. I work in the Risk area, primarily running the Internal Audit program as well as all things in Third-Party Risk Management. I have been using Smartsheets since implementation in 2021.

What don't I use Smartsheets for… that is the question. We have a saying, "There's a Smartsheet for that!" For people in the banking industry these items will probably resonate. I use it as our FDICIA Control Management, Internal Audit Management, Training Management, Contract Management, Vendor Management with automatic due diligence collection, Internal Monitoring Program. I have also helped build various process for other departments, including a Loan Servicing Ticketing system. Others in my department also use it for tracking ERM metrics, Complaints Management, Compliance Management etc.

Looking into the future I don't see the use of Smartsheet declining, only strengthening. We have implemented internal training for Smartsheet to get more people in the institution on board, and its working. Along with the training we have allowed one on one meeting times with our departments to meet with our Smartsheet experts for guidance and help building processes.

I would love to learn how others are using the platforms because I know it will generate new ideas. We have recently implemented DataShuttle and I have a Third-Party process up and running. We also purchased DataMesh but have not built anything out yet, I would love to hear how others are using these enhancements.

- We've been using Smartsheet for a little over 2 years
How are you using Smartsheet today or planning to in the future?
- We use it for essentially every department within our institution: Project Management, Government Finance, Exceptions/Tickler tracking, Insurance/Escrow tracking, Reporting to executives, Team/Department Workspaces, etc.
What would you like to learn from your peers in the Financial Services industry?
- I am ultimately just curious to hear what other financial institutions have been using Smartsheet for. I'm sure there are many, many things I have never thought of, and am excited to see what others submit here.

- I am currently the VP of Projects and Integrations at a $2B CU in Wyoming and Colorado. I have been in CU's for about 25 years and love being able to help guide the future through project management
How long have you been using Smartsheet?
- We have been on SS for about 1.5 years. We began with our most current merger, and SS helped immensely.
How are you using Smartsheet today or planning to in the future?
- We are using the tool in our PMO to display portfolio and project views for our Chief team. We have also just implemented the Resource Management tool. Other departments have started to adopt SS into their everyday as well.
What would you like to learn from your peers in the Financial Services industry?
- I would like to get an understanding of how resource allocation is being used in the Financial industry

- I have been employed by MCVSD 51 for 38 years.
- I currently work for the Chief Academic Officer and help support the departments that she oversees.
- My title/ role is Curriculum Financial Analyst & Administrative Liaison.
How long have you been using Smartsheet?
- I began using Smartsheet in November 2017.
How are you using Smartsheet today or planning to in the future?
- I use Smartsheet to manage and provide oversight for ALL of our budgets, from general funds, Mill Levy, grants, and title funds.
- I also use Smartsheet to help support the offices of New Hire Teacher Induction, Curriculum & Professional Learning, Library Media Services, just to name a few.
- I have an entire electronic Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) process, and a stipend payment and management system that was created without the need for DocuSign.
What would you like to learn from your peers in the Financial Services industry?
- I would be curious to hear what other financial institutions have been using Smartsheet for.
- I would also love to learn how others, who are their organization's financial person, may be using Smartsheet for their finance needs, especially those who are working for public education or non-profits.

Hello!

I've been using Smartsheet for 4 years now.

My primary role is to create Smartsheet solutions for IT and non-IT Project, Program, and Portfolio Management. I support multiple PMOs leveraging both Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid methodologies.

I also develop trackers for our finance team to support forecasting expenses such as hiring needs throughout the current year and into the upcoming year. Smartsheet is one of many data sources used for this work.

I build intake, change management, new business opportunity pipeline and roadmap, and several other operations solutions.

There's no telling where my Smartsheet development will take me or what type of solution I'll be tasked with next.

I like learning new ideas and approaches from my peers. I love learning about formulas I haven't used before, or using formulas I've already used but in new ways.

I'm looking forward to what this Financial Services Community will come to offer and include. Especially in terms of dashboards. I struggle with dashboards for finance because of the limitations in Smartsheet's dashboard builder and the lack of ability to make fine adjustments. This presents the challenge of fitting everything without taking up too much space. Due to this, I find myself using Power BI for most of the dashboards I develop for our Finance Team.

My name is Dave Sidon. I'm a banking consultant and actually have 3 Smartsheet licenses, one for the consulting practice, one for personal finances, and a third for banking training under the name of The Banque. I've written a banking simulation model (which is now competing against the American Bankers Association in a true David & Goliath moment). We use the model in a number of different ways, but the most compelling (and rewarding) use case includes up to 16 teams of bankers simulating up to 5 years of banking decisions around interest rates, balance sheet management, hiring/firing decisions and includes an investment portfolio with interactive rate changes to provide for various rate scenarios. I define a "school" as a Smartsheet folder that includes 16 team folders (each with Smartsheet, reports and a dashboard) and an admin folder with 7-8 Smartsheets feeding the teams and event in general (along with a set of comparative reports for each year across all teams). I've run up against the 100 "object" constraint in replicating schools and can share some my work-arounds. Smartsheet is not designed for my use case, but we've figured out a few tricks to make this sing (especially around the interactive team competition aspect of this) that I'd be pleased to share with this community (in addition to hoping to learn a few new tricks myself from you all).

In the consulting practice, we use Smartsheet extensively to document internal controls over financial reporting for 60+ community banks across the country. The reporting and workflows are key elements for us, and I'd be happy to share how we execute these projects, and hear how others might be tackling the same requirements.
