Filtering for Linked Cells

I am trying to run a report for all of the cells in my "Last Contact Date" column that are not linked to another cell. We have separate teams who are populating separate sheets (SS Logs) so we can link the dates back here, but until they do, we'll just see the dot indicating it's linked with a blank value.

The full sheet is over 1,200 rows, and I've filtered it down to blanks in the categories I need, but the filter is displaying cells that are linked and cells that are not yet linked. So I'm seeing over 100 rows on this report instead of the 40ish ones that need links.

Is there any way to filter out all the linked cells so I can just work on the ones that aren't linked yet?

There is currently no way to filter by linked cells. The only thing I can suggest it to manually check a box when you link a cell and then filter for rows that are not checked.

Ah, thanks for confirming. That's a decent workaround.

I wonder if a checkbox could be automated if it notices a change in the "Last Contact Date" cell being linked to another sheet… I'll test that out to see if linking it (even to a blank cell) registers as a type of update/change that could prompt an automation to check a box.

Automations can't trigger from cell links or formulas containing cross sheet references. There should be a way leveraging the API / Bridge or other similar 3rd party apps, but unfortunately this particular use case is a bit of a challenge.
