tracking incoming jobs & jobs in process

We are looking or a solution for logging in tax & bookkeeping work.

What I'd like to do is have a sheet
for ALL tax clients. All we'd need to do is log in the client name & type
of return. Then The "Steps" would appear. Do you have any suggestions on
the best way to do something like this?

  • You could use web forms to input your data into the sheet. Possibly one web form for each return type, if there are different steps.

     

    If you use the web form, you could start entering the steps you have done, then submit the form and refer to the row whenever you complete additional steps. 

     

    Another option is to just input all the data directly in the sheet. You can name your column with instructions or step guide.
