We’re celebrating the Community’s 10th Anniversary this month, and our Question of the Month is also themed after this milestone. There are over 75 active badges available, and I’m sure you'll have great suggestions for future ones. 👀 Can’t wait to read your responses! ⬇️

About Question of the Month:

We kick off each month with a new question. These monthly ice breakers are just one way to help you get to know your Smartsheet peers and rack up some badges and points in the process.

Everyone who participates by answering the question prior to the end of the month will automatically receive a unique participant badge once the question closes at the end of the month.

In addition to the participant badge, the top three answers based on Community member votes will receive the Top Answer badge. To vote on an answer click on the upvote icon associated with an answer in the comments below. Multiple votes allowed and encouraged!

That's a fun idea! If I could create a new badge in the Smartsheet Community, I would introduce the

"Collaboration Champion"

badge. This badge would be awarded to users who consistently demonstrate exceptional teamwork, share valuable insights, and help others solve complex problems. It would recognize those who go above and beyond to foster a supportive and collaborative environment within the community.

I love this idea! They could call it "The Quick Draw Badge". Lol.

Another idea would be a badge where it's based on how fast someone provides a useful answer. We are all using Smartsheet for efficiency. If people get a really pretty badge for answering questions quickly, that would likely help everyone in the forum to continue to be both efficient and helpful.

How to Earn It:
This prestigious badge would be awarded to Smartsheet users who have demonstrated exceptional skill and dedication in pushing the platform to its limits. Here are some ideas for criteria:

✅ Automate Like a Pro – Build and execute 50+ advanced automation workflows that significantly enhance productivity.
✅ Formula Wizardry – Utilize complex formulas (nested IFs, INDEX/MATCH, cross-sheet references) in creative ways to solve real-world problems.
✅ Dashboard Dynamo – Design and publish at least 5 impactful, highly engaging dashboards that drive decision-making.
✅ Smartsheet Evangelist – Actively help at least 25 other community members by answering their questions with in-depth, valuable insights.
✅ Template Trailblazer – Share a unique, innovative template or solution that gets community recognition (e.g., a certain number of downloads or upvotes).

Why We Would Want It:

Elite Recognition: Show off their expert status in Smartsheet.
Exclusive Perks: Early access to beta features, a special profile badge, or even a spotlight feature in the community.
Bragging Rights: This isn’t a badge just anyone can get—only the best of the best!

This badge would be challenging yet highly desirable, rewarding the true Smartsheet power users who push boundaries.

Building value stories and best practices from lessons learned is simply not enough. ❌

The Council of Champions is a great start for internal branding. 🛫

We can do better. Smartsheet is (or will be soon) a staple skill like Excel was back in the 90s right out of high school.

We need to reach out and provide the next generation opportunities to learn and apply in a real-world business situation. 📊

These future adopters will drive lead generation and eventually be the financial influencers of future deals. 🚀

I was thinking of Forms also - maybe "Formensicator" – For those who designed a Smartsheet Form, making their work more efficient with automations, logic, and creativity

My thought for a Smartsheet badge would be the "Sheet Whisperer."

The Sheet Whisperer is the person or persons who regularly answer the most complex, most challenging questions on the forum, time and time again. Not afraid to tackle the hard questions with an ability to think outside the box and provide unique ways to solve issues within Smartsheet.

I'd create a badge called "Documentation" which highlights those who share how they implement a new Smartsheet capability on their team. What change management activities did they undertake? Did they use a tool like Tango to document how to do a certain task? What does the documentation behind the scene look like?
