Mass Edit in single dashboard

What is this widget and how do I create the same?
Hi, I was in a meeting with an external team today who used a dashboard to show Open tasks. In the widget, a user could drill down into the widget and add/view comments without having to click through to the origin sheet. Does anyone know how I can replicate this please? Many thanks
