Re: Populating a drop down from data in another sheet
You have to populate it. Theres a long standing enhancement request for Smartsheet to provide a way to populate a dropdown through a reference, search and vote it if you like, but for now the only option is to populate the array of choices.
Improve Functionality of Report Filters
I'd like to see report filters improve. I've included a post from another user that was submitted a few years ago.
Ideally, the report filter would allow for @row references. The use case that triggered this need for my company was the "between" function for a date field. I want to see any projects that are between two dates on my sheet. I'd like the "start date" to be one column, and the "end date" to be the second column. To use the filters as it is currently designed, I have to add a helper column to my sheet to compare the values, and then add that as my report filter.
While we can usually accomplish what we want by adding helper columns, it's not always the easiest/simplest process. I need to create 10 reports comparing 10 different date fields, which means adding 10 helper columns to my sheet.
Re: Multiple Filters In Reports that Collaborators can Choose/Select
We have a massive sheet and multiple reports created for individuals. Being able to let them create and save multiple filters (like in a sheet) would be very helpful. Please....please....please....! <3
Re: Multiple Filters In Reports that Collaborators can Choose/Select
Echoing the above comments. We have reports used by multiple individuals, who require varying filtering & sorting needs. Being able to create and save multiple filters (like is available within a sheet) would make a dramatic improvement to our team's use of Smartsheet.
Re: Multiple Filters In Reports that Collaborators can Choose/Select
Allowing end users to change filter on reports will be very appreciated. Yes the dynamic view is allowing this but it is not instinctive the way the end user has to find the link since it is not available in the browser and we have to create a dashboard to communicate the link. That will be a great improvement for our team also.
Re: Return the last number (current month) from a column of numbers
Try this instead:
=INDEX(COLLECT({FP 2024 Calls - by month Total SL%}, {FP 2024 Calls - by month Total SL%}, @cell <> ""), COUNTIFS({FP 2024 Calls - by month Total SL%}, @cell <> ""))
Re: Automation: To use multiple condition paths to automate multiple Columns
@Lisa B 2022 You want to know how to create multiple conditions simultaneously?
If you click on the "+" icon in blue, you will get the dropdown list containing:
- Add a Condition
- Add a Condition Path
- Add an Action.
If you click on the "condition path", you'll be able to create a number of condition paths. I believe there is a limitation on how many condition paths you can create.
Scroll Bar Size
It would be fantastic if we could either increase the size of the scroll bars (bottom and right) or show them permanently. It can be so frustrating trying to get the scroll bars to engage, especially when referencing another sheet in a formula.
Progress bar values in numbers
Hi
I'd suggest that renaming the progress related words (as shown in the screenshot below) to 0, 25, 50, 75, and 100 would make it much easier to remember and update by just pressing the first number.
For example, if I want to change the progress bar to three quarter, I just ned to type in 7 (which will pull 75%). This is especially more practical because we usually talk about progress in numbers (e.g. 75%), and not three quarter).
This will also help the keyboard freaks!
Link to Active Directory
In the "Initiator" field of a form I would like to see it auto linked to Active Directory, so it consistently populates the person's first and last name, title, department, etc.
