I'm working on developing master sheets for my group that other researchers will link to. They will use this information to inform capacity and resources. How do I ensure that if I've added a row to the master sheets that it automatically updates their sheets?
Are you serving them reports?
We are just starting out and could either have them link to the main sheets or to reports. However, the sheets all have different columns and information and when combined into a report there are multiple lines per workflow which is challenging. Alternativly I could make a report for each sheet... does that work? Also, can you link to reports?
You can share direct links to reports by clicking on Share > then copying the link that is located in the bottom of the share panel. Note: Only people shared on the report will be able to see the report.
You could make a report for each sheet, but in our multiple sheet workflow we've used the same columns and column titles with - when necessary - different content in the columns. The goal is to have identical column titles so that the report can merge the content from separate sheets into the same column. So while the task name might change... the column can be called task or task details. Making your columns and titles uniform in their content will help consolidate multiple sheets into a single report.
I am currently setting up an automation for people to get notified through their email, when they are prompted. But is there a way that they can reply in the email of a comment that will then go to the specific sheet. This way they do not have access to the sheet, but can just comment through email with updates?
Is there a way to revert to the old dashboard look and feel. The new dashboards do not look good at all. There is no way of knowing if there are additional items in the widgets until you scroll over one to learn there is more to it since the vertical bar doesn't show. We have hundreds of dashboards and they will all need…
When i try to send or print the timeline view instead of showing the progression bars like they do on the screen it only send the data entered and not a graph type view to print. Is there a way to do this. I am using a mac platform if that helps.
