Hi,
My company has just moved from Outlook to Gmail.
Outlook had this great functionality where I could add a row to a smartsheet from any email (see attached).
Is it possible to get gmail to do the same?
Thanks
Laura
Hi Laura--
Currently, the integration we have with GMail is a little different than the integration with Outlook, so it isn't possible at this time to create new rows from any email in Gmail. I've added your vote for this functionality in the integration to our enhancement request list and our development team will consider it for a future update. We appreciate your input!
At this point, you can use our Gmail Contextual Gadget to make changes to rows in sheets from Reminder, Notification, and Send Row emails without leaving Gmail--not exactly the same function, but may be helpful regardless!
Dear Kennedy,
please, add my vote, too.
Laura,
Zapier (www.zapier.com) will allow this.
It can be triggered on a new email, new label, and a variety of other triggers.
Not quite the same functionality as you need to set them up in advance, but useful none-the-less.
Craig
thanks for all your help I have done the Contextual Gadget but will try the Zapier idea.
