We have created a smartsheet for all our tradeshows. I would like to share certain columns in that sheet with our customer when a show is created and hide ones that we use for our internal info only. I know we can uncheck columns we do not want when we share in an email but with so many events we have to uncheck those in every email we send and someone could forget to uncheck a column in error and our customer would get that information. So is there a way to save that email format as a sort of template so everytime we send the show information it only sends those columns? Also it would be helpful to have the same email template to select from with a standard message we create since it's the same message each time.
Have you looked into a report? You can select which columns are displayed in the report and send it separate from the sheet.
Hi Becky,
I'd also suggest using reports and maybe multiple to fit what you need.
Another option could be the Premium Add-on, Dynamic View.

Would that work?
Hope that helps!
Have a fantastic day!

It sounds like you might be using the "Send Row" feature to send an email and select the columns again each time you send the email. Another option might be to setup an Alert in Automated Workflows. You can set it up to only send when the event reaches a certain status or if a checkbox is checked on that row, for example. Some of the constraints this would place on the user's workflow is that the recipient would have to be in a field/column the row, and you'd have to follow a different process for sending out the message. However, the set of columns and the message subject/body would be sent consistently every time.
Hope this helps and I'd love to know what solution works best for your particular scenario.
Is there a way to revert to the old dashboard look and feel. The new dashboards do not look good at all. There is no way of knowing if there are additional items in the widgets until you scroll over one to learn there is more to it since the vertical bar doesn't show. We have hundreds of dashboards and they will all need…
When i try to send or print the timeline view instead of showing the progression bars like they do on the screen it only send the data entered and not a graph type view to print. Is there a way to do this. I am using a mac platform if that helps.
I have reproduced the following behavior in a validated Smartsheet application. User permission: Editor (not Admin) Row status: Locked (confirmed via row menu displaying "Unlock Row") Text, Date, Contact List, and Checkbox columns cannot be modified. Dropdown List columns remain editable. Selecting a new dropdown value and…
