The Google Forms documentation can be misleading. Unless I am doing something wrong, currently a Google Form must connect to a New Sheet. When starting from scratch, that may be OK, but otherwise, has cost to moving things over to the new sheet.
Using Zapier (one of the integrations in Shaine's first link) allows many other on-line forms to become available.
