Deactivate Users
I am unable to deactivate users. This is apparently a feature and I have followed the "how to" but I only see options to:
"remove from groups"
"remove sharing"
"delete user"

Which Smartsheet plan do you have? I think it's only available in Enterprise or higher. (yes, that's probably it, I saw Genevieve's answer)

yes that is it, I am only on a business plan. I will look into upgrading to enterprise, though this feature seems like a basic one that should be available for everyone.

I don't seem to have the feature either but I did locate the same instructions page you probably were on saying it's possible. Could it be that you need to have admin access or be the primary licensed user on the organization's account? If not, maybe they removed that feature and didn't update their help.smartsheet.com instruction page.

It only works on a licensed user, and you must be a System Admin.

Thanks all, we have tried with all licensed users and system admins at your suggestion, yet no one seems to have the feature? I will keep trying

Could this be due to your plan type?
The Deactivate User action is only available to System Admins on Enterprise plans. (See: Revoke access, deactivate, or remove a user from your account)
