I would like to pull in data from mulitiple smartsheets to one for payroll

We have commissions, on call pay, etc. That all have a smartsheet form that employees complete and data goes into different workbooks. We would like to pull that into one smartsheet. We only need paycodes, employee numbers and the amount. Is there a way to make this happen?

Hi @Lori Hilt - Would it be possible to set up a report, group by employee number, and then create a summary for the amount? That would should you how much total for each employee.

    Hi @Lori Hilt

I hope you're well and safe!

To add to Amber's excellent advice/answer.

Another option. (I'd recommend trying the Report option first)

You could use cross-sheet formulas combined with either a VLOOKUP or INDEX/MATCH structure to connect the sheets, and when you update the source sheet, it will reflect on the destination sheet.

To connect them row by row, you could use an Autonumber Column in the Source sheet and add a so-called helper column to manually add the row id on as many rows as you need in the Destination sheet.

    Would that work/help?

    I hope that helps!

Be safe, and have a fantastic weekend!
