Jira Connector Set-Up

Upcoming need: I have (say) 30 separate projects in Jira, each with a field called "Status." I have a Smartsheet sheet with those same 30 projects, also with a field called "Status." When someone updates the Status in Jira, I want that new status to show in the Smartsheet "Status" field. I don't have the Jira Connector yet, but I may buy it.

From what I saw from Smartsheet Jira Connector demos, it looks like I'll need to set up a connection, manually and separately, for every single one of the 30 projects, one by one, for the Status field to synch. From what I saw in those demo videos, I cannot set up one workflow that says "for all projects in Jira of X type, integrate that Status with Smartsheet." Am I understanding this correctly?

    Hi @Alex77

You can select multiple JIRA Projects in one workflow to sync to a single sheet in Smartsheet, although it is recommended that you limit this to 10 Projects per workflow.

You'd want to ensure the project key was added in each row being synced back to Jira, and one thing to keep in mind is that if you select multiple projects you'll only be able to apply Jira filters with Jira Query Language. Here's more information: Working with Synchronization Workflows

I would recommend contacting your Customer Success Manager (if you have one) or Smartsheet through this form here to talk through your scenario further.

    Cheers,

    Genevieve
