Auto ID Vlookup Convert to Text
I have a column that is the "# Auto number" column generated within the selected Column types offered in one Smartsheet
I need to reference that # in 2d Smartsheet via VLOOKUP
I believe the VLOOKUP formula will not work because the generated "# Auto number" is in a text form and not a number value.
Please provide suggestion on how to do a VLOOKUP on "# Auto number" or to convert "# Auto number" to a number value

Can you explain how this was solved?? I'm having the same situation, and I can't get the formula to work.

Hi @insomnio23
Can you post your formula and scenario so we can better help you?
The VALUE function mentioned above converts numbers that are appearing as text into numerical values, so you'd wrap that around the cell reference you want to ensure is coming through as a number.
