If I'm replacing an asset with an updated version and do not want anyone to access the old version, is there a way to delete it?

We set an expiration of some photos that had a talent expiration. However, we have since purchased an extension for the rights for these photos and now I have to set them to not be expired. How do I do that? Do I have to delete and re-upload??? Thank you in advance.
We have discovered a huge limitation in that the Advanced Filters only cache the first 1000 assets.
