Date Format in Bridge
Hello,
I was trying to get date out from smartsheet to smartsheet bridge to do integration. However, when I see log file, the date is very different format and I cannot reformat the date using utility function:
The Appt Date, DOB and Start Date is all coming from date from Smartsheet, could someone help me on this?
Thank you!

Hi @Amy Gan
Scroll down to the bottom of that list and you should see a "Customized Format" option:
Then you can specify the format you want:

Hi @Amy Gan
Can you post a screen capture of your sheet in Grid View, showing the Column Properties for those date columns?
I'm unable to replicate what you're seeing when using Search Sheet and Date columns:
Thanks!

Hi Genevieve,
My date is like this format. However, if I changed the column property just put date in text format, it works. But the backend log file showing some unreadable data. In the meanwhile, I would like to format the date to be MM/DD/YY but I did not see the format in bridge-format date. Is there a way that I can accomplish the goal?
Thanks

Hi @Amy Gan
I have to admit I am unsure why your dates are coming through as unreadable numbers and I'm not able to replicate it. However to get the data you'd like, we could add in a helper column:
Add in a Text-Number column and use the simple formula of
=[Start Date]@row
You can hide this in your sheet so it's not visible, but then Bridge will return the date value in the format you want (MM/DD/YY), since that's the text value that will be displayed in the helper column. Would that work for you?
Cheers,
Genevieve

Hey @Amy Gan
I've done a bit of digging and it looks to me like the date value that's coming back is the unix time, or the number of seconds since
1970-01-01T00:00:00Z.
Do you have the Numeric Dates checkbox checked?
Make sure this box is un-checked:
Let me know if that does the trick!

Genevieve

Hi @Genevieve P. !! Any Idea why mine would be exporting like this?
{"formatted":"08/22/2023 11:49"}
What I am looking for is 08/22/2023 11:49 AM
Here is my Update Row

Try grabbing the Date/Time value from the Run Log instead of from the module:
This should only grab the data after "Formatted:"
Let me know if that worked!

Genevieve
