seeking to establish a cross-sheet workflow to transfer a cell value to another sheet when a drop do
Hello,
I'm seeking to establish a cross-sheet workflow to transfer a cell value to another sheet when a drop down option is triggered. I have tried the row transfer workflow but it transfers the entire row, when I'm only seeking to transfer a select cell value in that row when triggered.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Hi @Alfa
I hope you're well and safe!
You could use cross-sheet formulas combined with either a VLOOKUP or INDEX/MATCH structure to connect the sheets, and when you update the source sheet, it will reflect on the destination sheet.
Another option would be to use so-called helper sheets. In short, copy the row to a helper sheet and then use my method described previously to get the values you need to another helper sheet and then copy/move the row from that sheet to the main destination sheet.
Would that work/help?
I hope that helps!
Be safe, and have a fantastic week!

Thanks Andree. All is well!
I've tried the index/match function as an alternative to Vlookup, but I'm still running into an issue to transfer the row source cell values to the destination sheet. I get the following message "unpareseable". Any further guidance would be greatly appreciated!

Hey @Alfa
Can you post what formula you've tried along with a screen capture of your sheet (but block out sensitive data)?
Here's a Help Article that goes through how to build an INDEX(MATCH formula:
