Too many cell references breaks sheet even after references are deleted

Frustrating that I receive a too many cell reference error even after deleting all references the sheet. Backend must be holding onto the references somehow but this needs to be fixed by Smartsheet. Had this happen before and support says I need to rebuild the sheet.

Did you delete them from the Reference Manager?

I don't remember the exact duration, but I think it's a couple of hours before they are fully deleted.

No, same error messages this morning. Sheet seems to be functioning but error keeps showing on load and refresh

Try checking if they are still in the Reference Manager and delete them if they are.

Did that solve it?

The references were removed with the ref mgr. I saved as new without copying references and formulas then deleted the rows from the original sheet. That seemed to do the trick.
