Dynamic View Drop Down

Is it not possible for a field in dynamic view to accept new typed information if the drop down is not set to "restrict to list values only"? here is the field info in dynamic view:

@Andrée Starå something must be wrong then because I am not able to type in the field, is it browser specific? Anything you can tell me to troubleshoot? Thanks!
