Trying to do a countif

want to report total $$ of Approved claims for Portal Renewals ( source data in another sheet )

The below formula should do the trick. You will just need to replace the bracketed pieces {} with the actual sheet references from the source sheet

=sumifs({Total cost INC GST},{Cost Approval status},"Approved")

=SUMIFS({Total cost INC GST},{Cost Approval status},"Approved",{Cost Category},[Cost Category]@row)
