Date formula

I have a Date column (ie. Column A) that is entered manually. I have a separate column (ie. Column B) that I need to create a formula taking the date from Column A and adding 60 days to get a date 60 days in the future of Column A. Is this possible?

=[Column A]@row + 60

I had tried that initially, but didn't realize that the column wasn't formatted to a "date" column by the creator.
