Dropdowns not populating after VBA operation on excel import into Smartsheet

Hi All,

We are facing a scenario where we need to use a VBA to populate dropdown options in excel but as this excel is imported into the Smartsheet the dropdowns are not available any longer.

However if we do not use a VBA but a simple cell validation to populate dropdown options in excel, when this excel is imported into the Smartsheet the dropdowns are available and works fine.

Let us know if anyone has faced this situation and any workarounds/solution for the same.

Do you have access to DataShuttle? I use that function w/ the offload/upload for dropdown updates. It is effective and you can provide 1 source sheet for the dropdown to be maintained on and have several other sheets updated automatically and not individually/manually.
