Forms question
Hi all,
Is there a way to get a form submission to attach to a specific row on my sheet?
For example, I want an employee to fill out a daily form and rather than have the form submission create a new row, I want it to attach to the date that is selected on the form to the same data pre-populated on my sheet.

Hi @Kacie H
I hope you're well and safe!
Have you explored using the Update Request feature instead?
Would that work/help?
I hope that helps!
Be safe, and have a fantastic week!

Hi @Andrée Starå,
It's a great thought, thank you. However, for this particular project, the daily form is completed by a different individual everyday.
The form lives in teams as a link for a radiology department to complete daily quality assurance measurements for their CT scanner equipment.
I'm trying to figure out the most intuitive way for me to automate the monthly reports across 50+ pieces of equipment.

Hi @Kacie H
For your purposes, what I would suggest is to continue to use a Form Submission to create a new row.
Then if you need to consolidate information, you could set up a Report and Group it by the Date to see all data together. See: Redesigned Reports with Grouping and Summary Functions
An alternative would be to have the submissions come into an Intake sheet, then use cross-sheet formulas (such as an INDEX(MATCH combination) to populate cell data from an original sheet. See: Formula combinations for cross sheet references
Cheers,
Genevieve
