I'm getting both an Approval and Denial notification at the same time

I'm getting both an Approval and Denial notification at the same time.

If the request is denied, I get both an approval and a denial notificaiton.

Same if the request is approved.

My status column is set up with a dropdown, because I don't want more than one column for status.

However, from what I am reading. It sounds like Smartsheet doesn't have the smart capability to do multiple auto notices form one column. Is that correct? Will I need to set up multiple columns for each status in order to send an approved or denied notification? Approved, Denied, and In review?

Hi bro,

You may want to create a Approval request automation worflow for your case. This workflow can send out different notifications based on Approved or Denied status
