Duration - Days to Weeks
Hi all,
I use Smartsheet to generate programmes for our construction projects. One issue I have is usually we report in weeks as opposed to days, does anyone know how to change the duration column to weeks as opposed to the standard days?
Thanks in advance.

Hey @EW1,
If you mean the duration column than you can add different durations to it. if you enter 1W it will calculate it accordingly.
Have a look here at the different time options in the duration column:
Let me know if that helped!

Hi Itai,
I have a further query on the above. When I create a parent item the duration for this is still shown as days even if all the items in the item are marked in weeks. Do you know how I can change this to display the overall duration in weeks?
Please see the below screengrab.
Thanks,
Euan.

Anyone have suggestions for this issue?

You could create a new Text/Number field and enter a formula in it
=Duration@row / 5duration = 1 w / 5 = 1
duration = 20d / 5 = 4
duration 2w / 5 = 2
