Can I create an automation on a template in a toolkit?
Hello Smartsheet Community!
My question is: Can I create an automation (e.g. to notify someone with a specific message) on a template in a toolkit that will carry over when new projects are created?

Typically yes. Are you able to provide more details?

@Paul Newcome Sure thing. I'm trying to create an automation on our template so that when a project manager uploads a file (row where the arrow is) and then selects a date in the provisioning start date column, it triggers a notification to our Finance department:
I'm wondering if I can create ONE automation on the template and have that translate over to each sheet that gets created per project OR if I have to manually go in an enable the automation per sheet when the projects get created.
Thanks!

If it is built into the template, then it should carry over into any copy made from it moving forward. Existing copies will need to have the automation manually set up.

@Paul Newcome Update: I was able to get it to work! It just took a minute to register. 😊
