    Sorry, late to the party.

    Great input from Debbie (as usual :-)

    Beth, as Debbie wrote above, disabling dependencies will NOT allow you to have dates calculated automatically for row connected via dependencies by Smartsheet. But you could certainly then use your own set of formulas to set your own rules.

    I have the impression, that you inherited the sheet from another person but you have not been briefed about the concept and setup of the sheet. You could end up fixing one thing the way you like just to find the next issue or maybe create an new issue while fixing another.

    So maybe it's better to create your own sheet from scratch with all the settings the way you need and when it works you could transfer the existing data. Attention: This will only work, if your sheet is not part of a bigger solution built with Smartsheet.
