Dropdown status record a date
Hi - I have a project tracking sheet where the status will be updated numerous times over the life of a project (from a dropdown selection). Is there a way for the date of each status change to be autocaptured somehow? Where would that info show up? Is there a report that could be run to tell us each of those dates?

@alexandra.richardson You can manually see it in the cell history, but that's not that user friendly for what you are trying to do.
The best way to do it automatically would be to create columns to record the date of each status change. This can be done using an automated workflow with the "record a date" action.
For example, if you have 3 statuses "Not Started", "In Progress" and "Complete" you could have 3 additional columns to track the date when the status was set to "Not Started", "In Progress", and "Complete".

Is there any other way to do this outside of creating more columns? This is also the only one I know of, but hoping there may be others!
