Is it possible to restrict certain information within a sheet based on users?
I have admin access to a sheet that was created internally. There are other users that have access as well but I'd like to restrict certain information within the sheet to particular users.
Is it possible to create a condition that will restrict certain information?

Hi @Kee2743
I hope you're well and safe!
If it's ok for the users to be able to access the information, but you want to hide it to simplify or make it harder to see, you could use a Report.
Would that work/help?
I hope that helps!
Be safe, and have a fantastic week!

You could use a report, but that means the users will still need to be shared to the underlying report with at least editor access.
Do you have access to Dynamic View or WorkApps?

What exactly do you mean by "restrict"? Hide from view, make uneditable, something else?
-
By restrict, I mean to hide from view.

It sounds like you need the premium add-on Dynamic View.
Do they need to be able to edit the information they can see?

Thanks! Yes, they need to be able to edit the information they see.

Perfect! Thanks for the help. I was able to make several reports and filtered the information based on who should have access.

Happy to help. 👍️
Just keep in mind that the users will also need at least editor access to the sheet in addition to the report to be able to make the updates in the report. This means that they could navigate to the sheet and view the data directly.
