How can I pull only a flagged item, with the designated hierarchy level of 1 or 2 into a report? into another sheet?
-
@Summary checker Do you already have a column on the sheet that indicates the level?
-
Do you have a column that identifies the Level? If so, you can use a Report filter to filter both by Level and Flag.
Here are some other Community posts that may help build that type of column if you don't have it:
- Way to tell a report to include the parent row info for child tasks?
- Filtering parent rows
- Bringing Parent Rows into a Report so I can put into a dashboard
- Sort Report Rows with respect to Child/Parent Relationships
If this hasn't helped, can you post a screen capture of your source sheet, but block out sensitive data?
Cheers,
Genevieve

Hi Genevieve, this was really helpful. The next step for me would be to see if I could include the task row on the same line even if it were in a separate column and just have that coulmn display in the report.
What would the formula be for
+ displaying the child task name on the same line

I tried a join statement in a separate column, but it is showing as unparseable
=JoinArray (", ", [Parent task name]@row, " ", [Task Name]@row)

I got it!!
=JOIN([Parent task name]@row:[Task Name]@row, "-")
-
=[Parent task name]16 + "-" + [Task Name]@row or this if the columns are not next to each other in the sheet

Awesome! Glad that you found a solution 🙂
