PDF to MYOB
Hi, looking for some assistance with sending a pdf attachment from a smartsheet line directly to MYOB. MYOB doesnt like any text or information in the email body and we have tested the send to email but it doesnt work. Is there anyway to change to default to open the document in Abode rather than a web view pdf?

Hi @Julieh Have you tried the Send as Attachment option? There are several ways by which you can send the document. If your MYOB also has a Smartsheet account, then you can directly tag them on the particular row/cell to receive the attachment in the conversations tab.
Try and let me know if any of this works,
Cheers,

How would i do this?
-
When i click on the paperclip to see the attachment, i click send to file which opens the email box. MYOB doesnt like any text in the email to import it into the in tray.
I have tried also opening the attachment but it doesnt open in adobe it opens a web version pdf so then i would need to download it, open it and then email it.
Surely there is an easier way

What do you mean if MYOB had a smartsheet account?
-
Hi @Julieh
@Ipshita is referencing MYOB as if it's a specific User, however I believe this is a secondary software that you're looking to integrate with Smartsheet, is that correct?
Without knowing too much about MYOB, I believe you may be correct in saying you'll need to download the file to then send it in the correct format.

@Julieh Yes, @Genevieve P. is correct here and so sorry about my bad response about the MYOB. I researched about MYOB and I believe it's an accounting and bookkeeping software popularly used in Australia. So yes, you will need to download the file however, it is possible to implement a solution to send the file using Smartsheet API but there are several other solutions also available at MYOB community, that you may want to check out - here's the link https://community.myob.com/
Cheers!

Thanks for the response @Ipshita and @Genevieve P.
Do you know if there is anyway to stop smartsheet opening the pdf in a web version? Can I somehow default it to Adobe?
-
Dear @Julieh I'm sorry, I'm not aware of anything like that. Maybe a Smartsheet API can help do that but so far I have not encountered any other ways.
Cheers!
