In our workspaces, Linking cells across sheets has been a bit cumbersome using the existing option in Smartsheets (please refer to the attachment).
It would be great if Smartsheet can introduce a “paste special” option where I can copy the content of a particular cell (or cells) from one sheet and paste it as a link into another sheet directly (like how it works in excel).
This will save us a lot of time and effort.
Hi @sydga_29
This is currently available! You'll just need to navigate between the two sheets within the same Browser tab. Then you can use Paste Special to paste in cells as cell-links.
Here's more information - Create cell links, copy formula results, or formatting

Genevieve

Do you happen to know how to copy the link into multiple cells in the destination sheet? I have quite a few rows that need the same link so the when the source link is updated all the rows in the destination sheet will be updated automatically. Thanks for any guidance! Patty
Working in the same browser tab, you can copy the original cell, then paste it multiple times into the destination sheet!
It will require you to "paste special" into each cell individually, but once the cell from the first sheet is copied, that link will be remembered until you copy something else.
Cheers,
Genevieve
