Is there a way to change the color of an entire row when any text is in a cell?
Hi! I'm using Smartsheet to track some meetings for a calendar that I manage. I'm wondering if there's a conditional formatting that I can use that if any text is in a cell e.g. "holds for 10/1, 10/31, 11/6" is there a way that such text would enable the entire row to change color? Or does it have to be a single formatted text like in Excel e.g. "cell contains 'no' then the whole row will change to red or if a cell contains 'yes' then the whole row will change to green". I'm trying to create a way to visually see a row that is a hold vs a scheduling in-progress designation.
Thanks in advance for your guidance!

Hi,
If you are looking at information in a particular column - i.e. Holds (Dates/Times), you can choose the "Is Not Blank" option and format the entire row.
Is that what you are looking for?
Thanks

When I attempt to do this...I see this and I'm not sure what to put in that second field...next to "contains"...

Change contains to "Is not blank". That will fix it.
