Hello!!

Hopefully someone can help.... I would like to run a conditional formatting where I enter a number in column 1 and that will produce specific text in column 2

I can only see option of changing the cell colour and not having the condition produce a line of text

Thanks Celine :o

You would need to use a formula for this.

    Example:

    =IF([Column Name]ROW# = "#", "SPECIFIC TEXT")

Place this formula in the column you want the Specific Text to show.

The length of the formula might be longer depending on the different options of text you want to show

If you need more than a few # to text combinations, a better option might be to use a lookup table. This will operate like a vlookup table in Excel, if you have used that functionality. This gives you more flexibility to add combinations, and can be less confusing/overwhelming that stringing a long formula together. You can probably find instruction on this by searching on this Community. If not, I can help explain it if needed.
