Autofill based on Previous value.

Hello Team,

I am preparing a service request spreadsheet. Users will be entering the issues, and the service request number should automatically pop up. upon all of the values entered.

In this case, the Green highlighted values will be entered through customers via Form. Upon all of the values entered by customer, Smartsheet should be able to update new service request number, in a sequence with based on previous value. Example - Currently SR00001is maintained as number in 1st row. Upon user filling all of the details Smartsheet should generate new request number SR00002.

Hi @tamiz.vedachalam,

You can use the Auto Number column type. Edit the column properties of the Service Request No column and select Auto Number

Once you select Auto Number, you can specify the format using the Display Format options.

Have you tried using "auto-numbering" column. This would allow each new row to be assigned with running number, each time the Customer fills the form.
