Creating a form that requires an attachment, and forwards that attachment (not a link)

Hello,

I would like to create a form that requires an attachment. I would prefer that this require a PDF attachment if possible.

Once the form has been submitted, I want it to automatically email the attachment as a PDF to the designated email address with info from the sheet in the body.

I have a software that automatically grabs the PDF and puts it into our production environment, so a link will not work.

Hi @bluksch,

You can require a file to be uploaded to a form by selecting the "File Upload" from "Form Elements", and then toggling the "Required" option.

You cannot however require a certain file type such as .pdf.

In the body of your automation email, use double curly brackets to include field values from your sheet. Example: {{Field1}}

When the email is sent to me, it comes in this format with a link to the PDF. Is there a way to get it as an actual attachment?

There aren't any options on file attachments. You can't send it as an inline attachment. Although that would be great, and would make for a good Product Idea to either up-vote or submit new.
