Auto populate adjacent column

Hi Team,

Can you please confirm how can I auto-populate department email id whenever there is a new row with a submitted email ID.

I dont wish to create a Automated Workflow to update a cell.

I am looking for a column formulae to auto populate the department id to xyz@amplity.com as soon as I have any email id in the submitted email ID column.
