CountIF with multiple Criteria

I'm trying to count the number of rows in a column with a certain criteria only for dates in 2024.

This is my formula: =COUNTIFS([Request Type]:[Request Type], "Payroll") AND([Date]:[Date], IFERROR(YEAR(@cell), 0) = 2024)

But I'm getting an unparseable message.

The formula below should work for you.

=COUNTIFS([Request Type]:[Request Type], "Payroll", [Date]:[Date], YEAR(@cell) = 2024)
