Generate Documents - Date Format not the same as the Sheet

When I am generating a document, the date format is not the same as my sheet - in the sheet, I have the date format as follows:

However when the document is generated, it changes the format to American format which is very confusing for everyone:

Any ideas on how I can fix this?

You could add a so-called helper column that references the date column and use that in Document Builder.

Some very useful information was given by @jmyzk_cloudsmart_jp, however, we're only back in the office today, and I've updated one project which has reverted to Pacific Time. Odd how the cells that revert are linked in from other sheets that maintain Australian times and dates.

Be interested to see if @Andrée Starå has any ideas on this one also.

I was curious to find out if you have found any solution to this date issue. I have changed my Smartsheet settings to various countries but the date still shows as follows in the various letters. We really want to formal to be such as '24-Jan-2024' as it appears in the Smartsheet...
