Dashboard Widgets Not Working - January 10th 2024
I've run into instances where the Dashboard Widget doesn't show, see example below. The widget still behaves as expected - e.g., it links to the report it's supposed to link to. When I hover over it, I get the message "Please have Dashboard Admin select a new data source" - I've tried to select a new data source, I've even tried re-creating the widget - for some reason the Dashboard isn't selecting any data source. Is this common - does it resolve on its own?

Hello everyone,
Appreciate your reports on the observed behavior. We've applied a solution for Dashboards and are keeping a close eye on the outcomes. For additional details or to stay informed, visit our Status page at https://status.smartsheet.com/.

Hello all - over the last three days, my team and I have had many issues with our project dashboards loading. They are very slow to load and many times we receive the error in the screenshot below once the dashboard has loaded. Has this been a problem for others? How can we report this? This is very disruptive to our day to day project tracking.
Thanks,
Andrea

Had this issue in my organization as well. Root cause for us was certain sheets were being archived for 2023 and new sheets were being created for 2024. Since we updated the links to the data, we have not seen this issue come back. Has anyone in your organization been making changes to data locations?

Thanks John! These are all brand new dashboards that only link to items recently created in the same workspace. While the whole dashboard is slow to load, the image widgets are what seem to really be struggling.
Any other thoughts?

I had the same issue just today with one that I downloaded from the template database. I went into the report to check the filter criteria and it said the report had an issue and Smartsheet support was notified.
Not sure if it is an issue with just certain reports, as I can open others and all is working just fine.

HELP! My dashboard reports are all disconnected. Is there an issue with smartsheet, or am I the only one!?
-
I am having the same issue. Smartsheet status states there aren't any issues.
Something happened on smartsheets end.
Sincerely,
Jacob Stey

I know I didn't see anything mentioned, so that's why I dropped a note here. I'm happy I'm not alone.

I came here to check, so thank you for posting!

Hello,
For some reason, the metric widget no longer works on Dashboard. Is anyone else having the same issue?
It says I need to reselect the source. However, we have dozens of dashboards, updating all of them will take a considerable about of time.
-
I'm having the same issue as well.
-
I'm also having the same issue and I'm the owner of all the resources. It was working earlier today and now shows the error.

Just had a similar issue this week in my organization when sheets were archived for 2023 and new sheets were created for 2024. I would verify your data sheet has not been moved to a new workspace. Hope this helps...
Cheers,
John

I manage all of my folders and I'm the admin for my team. Nothing has moved. All great points by the way! Thanks so much.

Thanks edapel! It's usually not reports. Having more issues with image widgets loading. Just this afternoon, entire dashboards are not loading:
-
Since this morning we have had metrics on several dashboards disappear and show that there is no data. The data still exists in the workspace and was not moved but it somehow decoupled from the dashboard.
Anyone have this issue or know what might have happened?
