Complex Form Logic Conditions based on Multiple Fields (AND/OR)

✭✭✭✭

I really like that forms have some type of conditional logic, so that the users don't have to see fields that aren't relevant. But, it would be nice to add AND/OR logic. For example, the way it is now, conditions can only be based on the selection of a single field. With the addition of AND/OR conditions, we could combine the output of multiple fields to create an action. Also, I would love to see a HIDE action as well as SHOW.

We love this suggestion as well! We're actively investigating how we might bring this improvement to Smartsheet at some point in the future. We will update the status here if we believe we can make this idea a reality.

I would love to see the ability to have multiple conditional factors in the logic system in smartsheet forms.

    I.E. When ABC = XYZ

    &

    When DEF = UVW

    Then

    Show Fields 3,4,5

YES, this would be a great to have! Often I need to compare 2 different fields at the same time—and just can't. Which sometimes leads to awkward user experiences in the questions asked on the form.

  • HI, This is exactly what i need the ability to do, has their been any progress on moving this feature forward?

I am also being asked if there is a way to have multiple conditional factors drive additional fields.

Example: Based on how 9 separate fields are selected from dropdown/checkbox have several other fields refresh on form that require review.

Would like to present a question only if specific answers are chosen in two other fields. Specifically if TRANSACTION TYPE field is "purchase order" AND EXPENSE TYPE field is "professional services", then display details about a required independent contractor form.

A simpler, generic, example is if the first question is select a color and the second question is select a number and someone chooses RED and 10, then show a question to select a letter.
