When running VLOOKUP how to bring over the URL value into (this is to bring over a picture on a cell

I am running VLOOKUP to bring a picture located in a specific row cell over a new sheet cell. The issue is that picture comes as a text (picture name).

My ultimate goal is to pull that picture into a dashboard, when trying that, just the text comes

If I bring picture directly from the smart sheet where picture is located over my dashboard, no problem, image comes along. But not through VLOOKUP

Any ideas?

Unfortunately, at the moment, Smartsheet doesn't have the capability to pull an image stored in a cell from one sheet to another. So, whether you try a VLOOKUP or INDEX/MATCH, it doesn't pick up the value. You can pull the image to another sheet only by way of a cell link, which is similar to what happens when you use the metric widget to pick up the cell's data.

Please submit this as a Product Feedback or Idea (If it hasn't been added already) when you have a moment.

Here's a possible workaround or workarounds

• Smartsheet API
• 3rd-party solution
• Smartsheet Premium App, Bridge
• Cell-linking
