Hi,
Currently when one wishes to link a form in a dashboard (not display a form, i mean hyperlink! but guess it would apply to forms in a dash too) You would need to get the url first of the sheet where the form derives from.
Instead, it would be handy that when adding a hotlink, it would pop-up when 'Smartsheet item' is selected:
This would be handy in all dashboard widgets where it is possible to select a smartsheet item.
Also, when implementing that, a different icon to make it more visual would be nice.
Just my 2 cents :)

It would be terrific to be able to select a form from the list of smartsheet objects when adding links to the dashboard links widget. Currently everything else except for the forms is selectable.
In the meantime, you can embed a form on a dashboard.
We can already create links from widgets in Dashboards to "Smartsheet Items" within the widget behavior option, it would be a good development if we were able to link to a sheets form.
Currently, we have to load the sheet, copy the form URL, then go to edit the dashboard and paste the copied link.
I submitted a similar request some time ago and was searching here to see if there was an update. I did not find my idea so am up voting @John_Foster's!
Our use case:
We have template workspaces each containing sheets, reports, and dashboard. We copy a workspace for each project. Some sheets have forms. Every time we copy a workspace we need to go to open the sheet, go to the form menu, copy its URL, and add that URL to the dashboard. Not having to do this would be a significant improvement in efficiency and accuracy.
yes! should be a way to have form link update to the correct one when using a template
Yes! please make this happen if possible. I love using Smartsheets for multiple projects! However, one of my projects involves developing a Smartsheet dashboard as a central point for information sharing between first responder agencies during disasters at the county level. The system works great if there is only one event but I discovered in 2024 that the embedded URLs to forms in "widget behavior" in dashboard widgets do not automatically link to the new workspace like the links to "Smartsheet Items" sheets and reports do. I needed to create three workspaces to manage two separate tornado disasters and the 2024 Eclipse. The embedded URL option for forms in "widget behavior" resulted in the data submitted by first responders to be sent back to the template, not the new workspaces. Resolving the embedded URL issues was pretty chaotic but I was able to fix it in a couple of hours but if I had to set up data collection workspaces for multiple events, it would be overwhelmed correcting the URLs and reduce my availability to provide disaster support to my community in other ways.
I would like to simply save my disaster response template as new and have all of the dashboard links to forms automatically change/update like the dashboard links to sheets and reports. I checked the the URLs for the sheets and reports and observed Smartsheets assigns new URLs when saving as a new workspace. I hope that links to forms can be corrected so forms can be selected as a "widget behavior" option other than embedded URL.
This is critical decision point for whether my office continues to use smartsheets. Please fix, or let me know if it cannot be fixed. I find Smartsheets to be an amazing system and would like to continue using it. Thanks!!

Is there a Smartsheets product release news article or post that details this improvement that I can look over? I didn't find anything on the Smartsheets Release News website. I also tried to see this product change in my workspaces but did not see a "forms" option under widget behavior to open a "Smartsheets Item". Thanks!!
you are right, it doesnt seem to be available on browser for forms. (I think i have seen it on the app for forms, but i dislike using the app(android))

I also tried to utilize this but do not see it as an option on the browser version. 😕
I am no longer managing the system I initially needed this functionality for but have been brought back in to try to simplify it to enable someone else to support it. I am going to have to remove the form functionality and associated automations because I cannot rely on someone going through the manual steps to add a link to each form when they copy the workspace to create a new project.
Hi,
I hope you're well and safe!I can't find where I read it.
I FOUND IT! I've been using the feature since, and it's working great.
We’ve launched automatic form relinking for dashboards.Previously, when a folder with a dashboard that has a form was provisioned in Control Center, form submissions continued to route to the original sheet instead of the new one.
This release will introduce automatic relinking of forms in dashboards to the correct new sheet, reducing manual effort for Control Center templates that include forms.
Note! This also works without the Control Center add-on!
I hope that helps!
Be safe, and have a fantastic day!

Hi,
I hope you're well and safe!
It's not something you select. It's automatic when you add a web form to a Dashboard.
We’ve launched automatic form relinking for dashboards.
Previously, when a folder with a dashboard that has a form was provisioned in Control Center, form submissions continued to route to the original sheet instead of the new one.
This release will introduce automatic relinking of forms in dashboards to the correct new sheet, reducing manual effort for Control Center templates that include forms.

Make sense?
I hope that helps!

Are you saying that if you add a web content widget to a dashboard and the web content is a form url, then that form will update to the new form if you copy the workspace?
That sounds interesting but won't solve my problems.
Yes, exactly!
So, if you have a template folder or Workspace and the form is from a sheet inside, the form will be dynamic and updated with the new copy.
Make sense?
What problems do you have?
