Is there a formula to return a value if all of the cells in a column contain a specific string?

Hi,

This may be a naive question, but is there a formula to return a value if all of the cells in a column contain a specific string?   

This will be part of a nested IF statement that returns different project statuses.  For example:  if any cells in Column 1 contain “in-progress”, then return “In-progress”, but if all cells in Column 1 contain “complete”, then return “complete.

=IF(COUNT(Status:Status) = COUNTIF(Status:Status, "Complete"), 1, 0)
